UPDATE: I came third in this contest not bad for a first attempt pillow no sewing machine lol
An entry for the Tiny-Pillow contest run by Stitching Pirates stitchingpirates.deviantart.co…
I used 14 count pink heart printed aida, Anchor Threads, pink glittery felt, cotton wool balls torn apart for stuffing, and some bobble ribbon. I thought the heart printed fabric would be cute, and therefore a pink backing fabric would go well. Had a bit of a dither on whether to use normal ribbon for inbetween or the bobble ribbon I found, and went for the latter as I thought it would be more interesting and - cats like bobbles! It all ties in This is my first attempt at making a mini pillow, so its not as clean-cut as I'd like it to look, but am still pretty pleased with it.
I chose this chart as its cute and would look nice on a pillow and is also small enough for this project. It uses cross stitch, fractional stitches, backstitch and french knots. Although, as a fair few of the stitches didn't fit within the backstitch, I altered these areas to make the overall design look neater.
I spent 8 days working on this in total
